On the way to my daughter's ballet performance, I spotted a once-green hill, recently burnt to black smokey ash. That week I had to go explore this sad place. I returned with my son and then with the entire family, to photograph and collect objects that where left after the fire. The objects were so fascinating to me that I brought them to my studio to photograph them, bringing them back to life.
